Senior Check-In Program
The Beecher Fire Protection District Senior Check-In Program is designed to provide peace of mind for seniors and their loved ones by offering regular wellness check-ins from our staff.
A member of the Beecher Fire Protection District will contact participating seniors once each week—either by phone or, if needed, with a personal visit—on a scheduled day and time to ensure they are safe and doing well. The program provides reassurance, promotes independence, and reminds participants that someone cares about their well-being.
Eligibility
To participate, the senior must:
- Live within the Beecher Fire Protection District.
- Live alone.
- Have no nearby family members or caregivers available to routinely check on their well-being.
How to Enroll
To enroll yourself or register a loved one, please complete the application below and submit it by one of the following methods:
- Mail: Beecher Fire Protection District, 711 Penfield Street, P.O. Box 759, Beecher, IL 60401
- Drop Off: Beecher Fire Station
- Email: supportservices@beecherfire.org
Emergency Contact Information
As part of the application process, you will be asked to provide emergency contact information. If we are unable to reach a participant after three contact attempts during their scheduled check-in, we will notify the listed emergency contacts and ask them to attempt contact. If concerns remain, additional appropriate actions may be taken to ensure the participant's safety.
Scheduling Changes
If a participant will be away from home or unavailable during a scheduled check-in, please notify us in advance by emailing supportservices@beecherfire.org or calling the Beecher Fire Station at (708) 946-6585.
Our goal is simple: to help seniors remain safe, connected, and independent while providing families with added peace of mind.
